 After attending this seminar, the participant will be able to:

  1. Discuss the differential advantages and disadvantages of rivaroxaban and medications conventionally used to prevent venous thromboembolism following total knee or hip replacement
  2. Introduce two new anti-HCV protease inhibitors, telaprevir and boceprevir
  3. Explain the role of telaprevir and boceprevir in the treatment of HCV infection
  4. Interpret existing data to identify the role of ticagrelor in the management of acute coronary syndrome.
